nightlooper — about

i started nightlooper as a love letter to the people who put me on.

the radio hosts, tumblr bloggers, reddit mods, and tastemakers of the 2010s who taught us where to look. the people who made discovery feel intimate. who made it feel like someone, somewhere, was leaving breadcrumbs just for you.

i discovered so many artists — lcd soundsystem, the drums, blood orange, mk.gee, post malone, just to name a few — by surfing through online radio shows on the world wide net. there was something special about trusting a complete stranger on the other side of the world. i was just a curious teen following their taste, and somehow, i found myself somewhere beautiful.

i was on a night loop!

with nightlooper, i want to reignite that magic with the same intention and adoration.

nightlooper is my attempt to return the favor.

to me, night looping is putting on headphones and letting the world fade into the background. every episode is built around a specific feeling, memory, or mood.
